Kerry Schwartz
Kerry Schwartz develops, delivers and evaluates STEM education programs that integrate the Next Generation Science Standards, science and engineering practices in to water education and foster critical and creative thinking skill development. Kerry Schwartz is also Faculty with Arizona Cooperative Extension at the University of Arizona and the Director of the Arizona Project WET (APW) water education program, transferring knowledge focused on hydro-literacy and 21st Century learning to teachers, educators, K-12 students and community members. Kerry works statewide delivering water resource programming to Arizonans through the supervision of personnel located in four extension offices. Kerry's degree in geohydrology and eight years of experience in environmental consulting enable her to deepen teachersí content knowledge about water resources with real world examples and relevancy. She has raised over 3 million dollars to support APW programming over her tenure at the UA and has sustained partnerships with corporations, foundations and governmental agencies, even as economic realities became challenging.
